The objectives of CADQAS are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular:

• To undertake research and development to evaluate and ensure the quality of new slide-based cancer diagnostic & predictive tests (biomarkers) as well as the reagents, equipment & tissue used for their testing before such tests are used clinically to identify groups of cancer patients suitable for targeted drug therapy
• To develop appropriate testing material for quality assessment schemes and to educate and train health professionals in the performance and accurate interpretation of these new slide-based cancer diagnostic & predictive tests

CADQAS is an independent, not-for-profit company which is based in Poundbury Cancer Institute
